The Healing Horse foundation is a not-for-profit association supporting children and adults with a physical or mental handicap or several physical or psychological problems. To that end it offers patients hippotherapy sessions, a therapy based on the use of a horse. This kind of therapy has positive effects on a physical, psychological, educational and social level.

The main objective of the organization is to improve the quality of life of these persons. The costs of the therapy are kept as low as possible.

The main activity of The Healing Horse foundation is to organize therapeutic sessions. The therapy is accessible to private patients as well as to patients coming from specialized institutions (day centres, …). The association also manages the care for and training of the therapy horses and the appliances. A large group of volunteers is active every day in conducting the hippotherapy sessions, caring for the horses and maintaining the stables and the meadows.
